About Me

I first practised Yoga as a child with my mother who was also a firm believer in its benefits both physically, emotionally and spiritually. As life took me through various experiences I realize now these were just part of my path to lead me back to finally finding peace in myself through yoga.

Whether its raising a family and/or following a career we all take different paths to become who we are today. This “searching” took me along many routes. As an energetic teenager I was enthralled with flying and obtained my private pilots licence at nineteen. Subsequently, I studied law as a legal executive and then went back to college as a mature student and obtained a degree in Environmental Protection which led to many rich experiences including tracking wolves in the Bialoweiza forest in Poland.

Then there came a time of reflection and and a deepening of my yoga practice which brought with it a peace which I had never found through flying, studying or running around forests. It was with me all the time.

In 2003 having been inspired by my own teacher I decided to train to teach. I studied with the British Wheel of Yoga the governing body for Yoga in the UK and started teaching in 2005. I enjoy teaching at all levels whether beginners or advanced and find working with the elderly and those less able, particularly rewarding.  My students at Macmillan in Epsom Hospital find the breathing practices particularly useful for reducing stress and promoting restful sleep.  I truly believe, if you can breathe you can practice yoga.

I aim to create a gentle relaxed and fun environment in which to learn. It is up to the individual student as to how far they want to take their practice. It is very much a case of what is right for you at this time in your life.

I am also a healer and a member of the National Federation of Spiritual Healers.

I look forward to meeting you.
